There are very few things that are more important than the name you decide to give your child. We all know that there is power in the words that we say and hubby and I wanted to be as intentional as we could be when choosing a name for our little sugah.
After much deliberation…
And a tweek or two here and there –
We have confidently agreed on the name for Baby Charles.
::CUES DRUM ROLL::
Nicholas Christopher Charles
Why did we choose this name? Primarily because of it’s meaning!
Nicholas – Victory of the People
It’s no surprise to you all that hubby and I experienced a miscarriage last year and while it devastated us, we believed God to fulfill our hearts desires and to stay true to His word to bless my womb so that I can bring forth a child. Nick is the manifestation of that victory! I like to think of him has our little victory child 🙂
Christopher – Carrier of Christ
One of my earliest prayers after finding out that I was pregnant was that our baby be a worshiper. I deeply want him to be familiar with Christ, to know Him at a young age, that he has a yearning for Godly things as He grows up. Because of these desires, it seemed extremely fitting to give him this powerful name that also happens to be my husband’s middle name!
In addition, my husband and I decided that we didn’t want our male child(ren) to have to live up to the pressure of being like his dad and therefore we decided against him becoming a III (because my hubby is already a Jr.) and giving each of them (granted we have another boy in the future) a part of his name instead.
I’m so thrilled to be able to share this name with you all – as it, as well as Nick himself, already mean the world to hubby and I. And it truly is a joy that so many of you are continuing with us as we experience this #JourneyToBabyCharles.
